Rectifier loads are harmonic generators. Phase-shifting the secondary windings so the rectifier runs 12-pulse or higher cancels the lower-order harmonics before they reach the supply network.
Windings and insulation are designed for the DC component and the harmonic heating that rectifier duty produces.

Sourced from certified partner manufacturers and inspected against our own standard before dispatch. Routine tests — winding resistance, voltage ratio, no-load and load loss, dielectric strength and, on oil-filled units, leakage — are run on every transformer before release.
Third-party inspection by SGS, BV or another agency can be arranged on request, with the report issued before shipment. Designed and manufactured in compliance with IEC 60076, ANSI/IEEE and the destination market's requirements; CE documentation available. Warranty is 24 months from the date of shipment.
